KTK Competition – Adolescent
The more advanced students are able to participate in a wide range of competition opportunities. For example, our brown and black belt students can participate in judging and refereeing training programs and further contribute to the karate world as judges/referees. In addition, coaching opportunities are provided to those who wish to assist our Elite Competition Team.
Organized twice a year (Spring and Fall) the KTK Kata Cup competition is open to all children. Brown and black belt students can participate as judges and support our athletes during these competitions.
Through our network of karate competitions, adult students can participate in regional competitions that include kata and/or kumite. Black belt students can also participate as judges and support our athletes during these competitions.
There are several provincial competitions organized by Karate Quebec. Our Elite Competition Team members have the unique opportunity to learn how to handle stress and perform in a more demanding environment.
Elite athletes can also participate in the selection process with Karate Quebec to represent the province at the National Championships.
At the higher level, students can participate in Pan Am and International Championships, as well as the International Montreal Open organized by Karate Quebec under the World Karate Federation.
