Laurent Gagné-Dumais

Laurent practices traditional shotokan karate under Sylvain Aubé since 1995. He obtained his first dan black belt in 2006 and his second dan in 2012. Laurent has participated over the years in several provincial and national competitions, as well as many seminars and training camps. He has won some provincial titles in kata and kata team. In 2009, he won the medal of gold with his two teammates in kata team at the championships Canadian National Karate Federation Championships in Regina (Saskatchewan). Laurent continues his research to understand and render each studied technique useful and practical. Laurent holds a master’s degree in condensed matter physics from the University of Ottawa.
